tur8The eighth round of 2013 WJCC finished at 20:10. In the game between Yu Yangyi - Cori Jorge, although the King side was destroyed, Cori had no difficulty in defensing and the game ended in a draw in 25 movements with perpetual check. Albeit GM Alexander Ipatov remained passive in opening, he had a glorious victory using his tactical options and shared the first rank with Yangyi Yu.

On the third board, it was really an enjoyable as both players performed an agressive game but ended in draw with Grover's perpetual check.

Saleh Salem destroyed an exact gain by his 35.Bc5? and made a draw. Kovalev had a smart gain against Debashis by teaching him how to play with good Knight, bad Bishop.

Marcel Kanarek , letting his e5 pawn captured with his suspicious 31.Qe2, lost the game against Vidit who performed well all along the game.

Yi Wei lost his advantage by his Nd5 rather than 29...Bg5, Narayanan used his mistage in his favor and compensated the position. The game ended in a draw after a while.

Among the Turkish players, Vahap Sanal couldn't dominate his opening and lost the game.Batuhan Dastan compensated the game after his opponent's Queen sacrife. Batuhan didn't miss the chance when his opponent played 34...Rb3 rather than 34...Nxd4.

Although Mustafa Berkay Ozdover was in a better position against Cemil Can Ali Marandi, he couln't seize the opportunity and made a draw.

Burak Firat , unfortunately, is totaly out of his form at this championship. Albeit Cankut Emiroglu made an interesting material sacrifice and let us watch a really good game, he lost his control with his 45...Ra8 against Nils Grandelius.

Gun Sumer, Diyap Buyukaşik and Esat Baglan were also the winners of the day tonight with 4,5 points.

In the Girls category, Bulmaga ve Arabidze both had advantages in turn but the game ended in a draw with Irina's material sacrifice. Alina had a perfect opening and won against Cori with the advantage of her d6 pawn and shared the first rank.

Padmini won against Medina with her opponent's 18...Nce7 movement. So, she managed to persuit the top again. It was worth to see Goryachkina's agressive game. The Russian player totaly outmatched her opponent.

Abdumalik romped the game against Rodrıguez after her 16.f3 faulty movement.
