Round 7 - Bulmaga and Yu are Leading
IMG 4986The seventh round of the championship was over at 20:39 pm. The Chinese player GM Yangyi Yu, still the sole leader after a predominant game against the Russian IM Urii Eliseev, keeps leading with 6,5 points.

GM Alexander Ipatov, with a good opening that he preferred, defeated the Indian IM Das Debashis with his sacrifice on 19.Rxf6 and keeps his second place with 6 points.

The game between Kovalev and Grover on the third board finished in a draw as both players played the Rook endgame really well. Cori Jorge defeated Stukopin by tricking on Rook endgame.

Sethuraman, with white pieces, was able to defeat his young opponent interestingly with his 37.Nxd6 sacrifice albeit conjugate mistakes.

Although Idani Pouya from Iran has had a bad opening against the Serbian opponent, he managed to gain the victory on the 30th move because of the white player's moving Kh2 rather than h4.

Batuhan Dastan's opening preparation after his g5?? movement caused him to lose the game rapidly.

Vahap Sanal had the chance to win the game but was to satisfy with a draw. Cemil Can Ali Marandi could make a draw albeit the worst position with black pieces. Cankut Emiroglu had an unfortunate defeat because of weak pawns.

Gamze Nur Guney was about to lose the game but thanks to Ani Krumova's mistakes, she managed to gain the game. Cansu Soylemez made a draw although she grabbed the pawn advantage.

Deniz Firat, with Sicilian party, won the game and has now 3,5 points. Beril Berfin Sen couldn't resist the King side attack and lost the game.
