The fourth round of 2013 World Junior Chess Championship finished at 21.08 tonight. GM Yangyi Yu became the sole leader without any loss. GM Alexander Ipatov slowed down the rate and made a draw against his opponent. One of the rating favorites of the championship, GM Nils Grandelius of Sweden, having been defeated by the Slovak IM Petenyi, has 2,5 points at all.
Eight masters are pursuing the leader, Yangyi Yu just before the fifth round.
Among the Turkish players, IM Cemil Can Ali Marandi (2403) against his strong opponent GM Jorge Cori(2587) of Peru, made an easy draw and had 2,5 points in total. Cem Gundogan(2072) against FM Vitaly Meribanov(2433) was another party with a draw.
The game between FM Zhanat Saiyn(2337) and Kadir Alber Zor(1948 ) was in favor of the Turkish player, Kadir Alber Zor.
The other winners of the day among the Turkish players are Diyap Buyukaşık against IM Richard Wang and Mazhar Kutay Yargici (1970) against Sameer Kathmale(2339).
In the Girls category, the most surprising and interesting score of the day was the game between WFM GK Monnisha (2094) and WIM S. Sarasadath Khademal (2303) which was in favor of Monnisha on the seventh board. She proved to be so assertive and ambitious today. Seven players with 3,5 points are sharing the lead now.
Deniz Firat and Ezgi Adamis defeated their oppenents today and have both 2 points in total, while Beril Berfin Sen (1609) against WCM G.L. Ivonne Fuantes(1829) was another winner of the day and has 1,5 points at all.
Gamze Nur Güney(1731) from Kocaeli had her point against L. Belen Matute (1955) from Peru.
