The eighth round of 2013 WJCC finished at 20:10. In the game between Yu Yangyi - Cori Jorge, although the King side was destroyed, Cori had no difficulty in defensing and the game ended in a draw in 25 movements with perpetual check. Albeit GM Alexander Ipatov remained passive in opening, he had a glorious victory using his tactical options and shared the first rank with Yangyi Yu.
